Bridesmaid Dress Hire

Complementing our wedding dress hire department is our collection of bridesmaids dresses which can be hired for your wedding.

We are currently purchaseing a brand new range of bridesmaid dresses for hire & as such don't currently have all sizes in the first 3 styles shown available for immediate hire. However if there is a particular size/style you are interested in please contact us & we will let you know when that size will be available.

Tip; if you are only looking for one or two dresses then try looking at our evening & prom dress hire section. Alternativly try looking at clearance sections where you may just find the right dress for a fraction of its original price.

Below is listed some of the more common questions we are asked relating to hireing a dress. If however you need any additional information then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Q. How much does hiring a dress cost?

All our dresses range in price between £50 & £200 for an adult bridesmaid dress plus a refundable deposit. The standard length of time a hire lasts is 7days, from collection date to return date. All the prices are shown with the pictures of the dress on this website.

Q. How many times are the gowns hired?

All the gowns are only hired a maximum of 5 times depending on the wear & tear of the gown & the amount of alterations that have previously been done on the dress.

Q. Can you alter a hire dress to fit?

Yes we will alter all the dresses to make them fit properly. However we will not make major or permanent alterations, ie reduce a gown by 2 sizes or remove all the detailing etc.

Q. Are all the dresses ex-samples that have been tried on countless numbers of times in the shop?

No, the majority of the dresses for hire are purchsed new directly from the manufacturer & have not been used as shop samples.

Q. I am getting married abroad & will need the dresses for 3 weeks, can you hire them for this length of time?

Yes, we will hire any gown for as long as you need it. However there may be a small supplement to pay depending on the length of time you need the dress for.

Q. Are all the dresses dry cleaned after each hire?

Yes, every dress is thouroughly professionally dry cleaned after every hire before it goes back into the shop. This dry cleaning is done by a state of the art company who do so in an enviromentally friendly way without the many harmful chemicals that are traditionally used in dry cleaning.

Q. Are all the gowns available to try on in the shop

Yes all the gowns belong to us & are kept at the shop for you to try on. We are continously updating our range of dresses & a few of the dresses on this site are still pending delivery from the manufacturer so we may not neccessarly always have your size in stock. Additionally if a dress has been hired at the time you come to the shop it will not be available to try on. If there is a specific dress you wish to see then please call first just to check it will be available.

Q. How far in advance do I need to book the dresses.

If the dresses are available you can have them the same day, however to ensure that they are available we would always encourage you to book at least 3-4 months in advance. This way if a dress in the size you require has already been hired it will give us time to purchase another brand new dress specifically for you.

Q. What happens if the gown gets accidentally damaged?

We understand that from time to time accidents happen. When you hire the dress we ask for a £100 deposit, if the dress gets damaged while it is away from the shop the £100 or part of will be retained. Any repairs needed to the gown will be done by ourselves at a rate of £10p/h. If the repair only costs £60 then you will have the balance of the deposit, £40, returned to you. If however the gown is lost then the gown will deemed to have been purchased & the outstanding balance is then due. Please remember that dry cleaning is included within the hire charge so any marks or stains on the gown that can be removed by normal dry cleaning will not incur any loss of deposit.
